KIDS IN THE GARDEN
Is your 3-5 year-old child interested in things that grow, fly or crawl? Designed especially for preschoolers, our 4-week program will teach kids about the many parts of a garden, from birds to bugs and lots in between.
Classes are taught by an experienced preschool science teacher. The curriculum is based on “Growing Wild” and is part of “Project Learning Tree,” a nationally recognized science program.
Each week covers a different topic.
Our next Kids in the Garden sessions will take place in Spring 2017.
Session Two begins Tuesday, May 9 and will meet for four consecutive Tuesdays from 10:00 - 11:30am.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or other significant adult (grandparent, aunt/uncle, close friend, etc.). At each class we will read a story, do an art project, sing a song, eat a snack and get out into the garden!
Topics for each session:
APR 11: Wonderful Water – Follow the rain water through the garden!
MAY 9: Wiggling Worms - How are worms an important part of the garden?
Who: 3 to 5 year olds and their parent or significant adult.
SESSION TWO: Four Tuesday mornings from 10:00-11:30am starting May 9, 2017 and ending May 30, 2017.
Where: The Bellevue Botanical Garden, 12001 Main Street, Bellevue WA 98005
