The Bellevue Botanical Garden Visitor Center, including The Aaron Education Center, has earned the US Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) gold certification for its innovative environmental design and sustainable features. The building, which opened in June 2014, was designed by Olson Kundig Architects to integrate naturally into the garden environment. The center features environmentally-friendly elements such as efficient heating and cooling, recycled materials, water efficient landscaping, and bicycle storage & changing rooms.
The majority of pathways in the main Garden are covered with 3/8 minus gravel, which packs down and is considered an ADA-compliant material. Some of the trails within the Garden are sloped.
There are no wheelchair rentals at the Garden. For your convenience, we list the following where you may rent a wheelchair:

The Garden is open daily, including holidays, from dawn to dusk. The Visitor Center is open 9am to 4pm.
Photography at the Garden
To prevent conflicts with the Garden’s educational mission, special events and other uses, pre-scheduling is essential. Reservations should be made at least one week in advance. Please call 425-452-2750 or email us to schedule.
When at the Garden for your photography session, please be considerate of our many guests. Please keep pathways clear for garden visitors and protect the garden by staying out of planting beds; you are welcome to walk on the lawns. Please do not climb on the rocks or in the trees–even for that perfect shot!
There are no changing rooms or space for indoor photography.
