Chinese Green Tea

Come and learn all about green tea! We will talk about where and when the tea plant is grown in Southern China; local season sensibility and timing for harvest; manufacturing techniques; Green tea’s usage as a food; the tea gathering setting, and the medicinal value of Green tea. In the second half of the class, each student will have the opportunity to practice making a pot of tea. This will include learning about measuring, temperature control, and using leaves sustainably and efficiently. You will hopefully be inspired to test your tea making skills at home!  $25 member or nonmember.
