May 18 at 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$10.50 – $15
In Person

Taught by Laura Watson in partnership with the Master Gardeners of King County. Learn how the understory layer of your yard or garden is a great addition to the ecosystem of your landscape environment. Trees and shrubs that grow under the primary canopy add interest, create screening, and contribute to the biodiversity of your space. Laura will describe her personal experiences living with ten great understory trees for the Pacific Northwest, most of which are listed on Great Plant Picks and in The Tree Book by Michael Dirr and Keith Warren.  Attendees will receive an informative list of great trees that includes cultural information. $10.50 BBGS & King County Master Gardener Members/$15 nonmembers.
