Holiday Centerpieces

December 9, 2020 at 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

CLASS FULL

Weina Dinata from Poppy & Finch will show you how to create a beautiful mini-habitat centerpiece for the holiday season with native plants in a repurposed lamp globe. She has developed a style of botanical design that uses living native plants integrated with flower arrangement techniques. This technique uses elements around your home and garden, such as moss, branches, conifer cones, and more, and crafted to fit the holiday spirit. Weina’s use of native plants is inspired by their beauty, versatility, and purpose for our habitat. The end result is a long-lasting, fun, creative, and versatile centerpiece that’s a win-win for both indoor and outdoor use. Place this centerpiece indoors to beautify your space and then place it outside and attract beneficial insects to your garden. It’s joy all around!

SUPPLIES: You can provide your own supplies, or, for an additional charge, we will package the supplies for you for curbside pickup at the Bellevue Botanical Garden. Supply kit includes a repurposed lamp globe with base, 4″ native plant, soil, and a few decorative elements.
