Presented by Danilo Maffei, founding principal of Maffei Landscape Design, LLC in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. Danilo’s philosophy is to gather experiences, not things. Objects alone do not make a garden better. Rather, it is an opportunity for people to meaningfully engage with the outdoors in all its ephemerality and to create seasonal transformations that truly elevate the garden from merely functional to truly sublime.
In his lecture, Danilo will illustrate thoughtfully crafted spaces that reflect the people, places, and history that inhabit, pass through, and surround it.
