Ikebana Art at the Garden

Jul 21 at 11:00 am - 5:00 pm

Free

Sofu Teshigahara founded the Sogetsu School of Ikebana in 1927 with the aim of transforming this ancient Japanese floral art into a modern art form. He stressed the philosophy that ikebana can be created anytime, anywhere in the world, by anyone, with any available materials. Today, Sogetsu ikebana continues to evolve as new creative expressions are developed. In this exhibition, enjoy viewing diverse ikebana created by Sogetsu Seattle Branch members, and ikebana demonstrations presented by Branch teachers. Learn new ways to transform garden materials into artistic expression!

Free. Registration not required. MORE INFO
