Light and Shadow: the Art of Photography

Taught by Ray Pfortner. Photography can be described as painting with light. Explore the possibilities at a location filled with photo ops galore–the Bellevue Botanical Garden. We will meet first on Zoom to discuss the power of light, shadow, and contrast. Next, we will photograph in person at the Garden. We will use the follow-up Zoom session to share our selected results for group feedback. We learn best by doing, sharing our photographs, and hearing thoughtful comments from our instructor. Suitable for all skill levels using any digital camera from phone to mirrorless. This class is suitable for teens and adults. $77 BBGS Member/$110 Non-Member

• Session #2 September 9, in-person: group photo shoot on location at the Garden
