Photography: Floral Portraiture

Taught by Ray Pfortner. Everyone is in awe of beautiful flowers, but not everyone is in awe of flower photographs. Too often, floral portraits rely on the obvious beauty of the flower and look like all the others.  In this workshop, you will be empowered to make truly memorable and different flower portraits – flower portraits that will turn heads on the merits of the photograph and its design. This class is suitable for teens and adults of all skill levels using any digital camera from phone to mirrorless. $77 BBGS Member/$110 Non-Member.

This class will meet for three sessions:

• June 22, 6-8pm, Session #1 on Zoom: Explore principles of composition, camera techniques, & photo styling.
• June 24, 6-8pm, Session #2 in-person at the Bellevue Botanical Garden: Group photo shoot.
• June 29, 6-8pm, Session #3, on Zoom: Present your results for instructor and group feedback.
