Sticks and Stones: A Winter Photography Workshop

Feb 7 at 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

$77 – $110
HYBRID

Taught by Ray Pfortner. Winter can be a magical season for photography, getting to the sticks and stones, the skeleton of the world stripped of the veil of green and vibrant colors of the other seasons. Fog, snow, rain can add an amazing quality to photographs. Challenging weather keeps many photographers indoors, giving the rest of us unique photo ops. We will meet on Zoom to explore camera settings, composition, and considerations for photographing in challenging weather. Then, we will shoot together at the Garden, rain, snow or shine! On Zoom share results for feedback from the instructor and fellow students. For all skill levels, using any camera or phone. All you need is a passion for photography.

  • Session 1, Feb 7, 6-8pm, on Zoom. Introductions, Orientation and Preparation.
  • Session 2, Feb 10, 4:30-6:30, in-person at the Garden, group photo shoot
  • Session 3, Feb 21, 6-8pm, on Zoom. Present your results for instructor and group feedback.
