Stone Images 15

The Northwest Viewing Stone Group presents Stone Images 15, an annual display of members’ Viewing Stones, a study group of the Puget Sound Bonsai Association. Viewing Stone appreciation originated 1500 years ago in China (Gongshi, scholar rocks) and expanded to Korea (Suesok) and Japan (Suiseki). Viewing Stones evoke natural scenes or forms in nature, including mountain stones, waterfall stones, object stones, and embedded image stones. The display features many Pacific Northwest and West Coast stones in an array of classifications in the Japanese aesthetics.
Viewing Stones can be viewed in The Welcome Room, located next to The Trillium Store.
