The Lives of Trees: Human and Tree Biology and Ecology

Feb 5 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Free

Chris Earle will explore the biological and ecological parallels between humans and trees, and how those parallels have influenced our relationship with trees in pragmatic, cultural, and even spiritual ways. We will look at how trees shape our environment, and we shape theirs, and consider how our relationship with trees can help resolve some man-made environmental problems. Chris Earle is a forest ecologist specializing in global conifer-dominated systems. His current work focuses on the systematics and biology of conifers, the Gymnosperm Database at www.conifers.org. Free and open to the public. No registration needed. Email for more information.
