Viewing Stones 101: Presentation and Q & A with Edd Kuehn

Join Edd Kuehn, Viewing Stone Artist, Field Collector, Diaza Carver, and past president of the Puget Sound Bonsai Association for an introduction to Viewing Stones. Viewing Stone appreciation originated 1500 years ago in China (Gongshi, scholar rocks), and expanded to Korea (Suesok) and Japan ( Suiseki).
Viewing Stones evoke natural scenes or forms in nature , mountain stones, waterfall stones , object stones, and embedded image stones. It is an art form both humble and profound—one in which a stone can suggest not only a landscape but an animal or a human figure.
