Willow Bark Earrings

In-Person
Taught by Erin Cox. Come play with willow bark! Make a pair of bespoke earrings from nature. Willow is an incredible plant that offers medicine in its bark (used by humans for more than 3500 years!), habitat for birds in its swaying branches, stability for river and stream banks with its dense roots, and so much more. Willow bark can only be harvested for a few months in the spring and early summer but if dried and stored properly it can last for years. For weaving, willow bark can be used to make baskets, hats, jewelry, art, and more. Erin will have antique brass finish or surgical steel for your hooks and a stash of natural beads to add more fun. $35 BBGS Member/$50 Non-Member
