Heronswood Garden—Because Heronswood Garden is currently closed, Dan Hinkley is making weekly videos called “Bark-a-lounger Botanists,” showcasing plants at Heronswood and Windcliff (Dan’s personal garden). Dan gives a complete description of every plant shown. What an education!
Longfield Gardens—A very good mail-order company that has a wealth of blogs on their website on a wide variety of topics.
FloraTube—Fabulous British gardening videos including “Gardener’s World” with Monty Don.
Fine Gardening Magazine—On their website, they have a wealth of gardening articles and pictures. They also have a weekly blog, “Let’s argue about plants.”
Great Plant PicksFeatures plants that are proven performers in the Pacific Northwest.
Egardengo.com—Darcy Daniels is a Portland-based garden designer who has created the most amazing website. She features plants, planting combos, and garden design, all beautifully illustrated with photos and drawings. You could spend a lifetime reading all the information presented on this website.
Gardeningknowhow.com—Unbiased information on a wide variety of gardening topics.
National Gardening Bureau—The National Gardening Bureau has lots of gardening information, and currently, they’re having a series on vegetable gardening.
Garden Centers—Our local garden centers need our support! They are going to great lengths to honor our governor’s “social distancing” rules. Many Bellevue Botanical Garden Society partner garden centers are open, including Bellevue NurserySwansons Nursery,  Gray Barn Nursery, Cedar Grove, and Classic Nursery. Please call our other partner garden centers to see if they are open. BBGS members receive discounts at these garden centers, so be sure to mention your membership at check out! Other great area garden centers are also open, including Wells Medina and Molbak’s.
