Ikebana Art at the Garden
Aaron Education Center at the Bellevue Botanical Garden 12001 Main St, Bellevue, WASofu Teshigahara founded the Sogetsu School of Ikebana in 1927 with the aim of transforming this ancient Japanese floral art into a modern art form. He stressed the philosophy that ikebana can be created anytime, anywhere in the world, by anyone, with any available materials. Today, Sogetsu ikebana continues to evolve as new creative expressions are developed.
