Frequently Asked Questions
Who benefits from my donation?
Your donation supports the Bellevue Botanical Garden Society’s (BBGS) educational programs for children and adults.
What can I donate?
The Sale will feature donated fine quality new & old mid-century modern collectables. We also need donations of garden art, weather vanes, interior furnishings including china, glassware, silver, small furniture items, crystal, steins, artwork, area rugs, accent pieces…and so much more! If you have a question about a specific item’s qualification, please email us.
How do I donate my items?
Donations are accepted now. Just email us for instructions and to arrange for pickup or delivery. Drop-off at the Garden is available by prior arrangement.
BBGS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and your donation may be tax-deductible. Please download and complete the donation receipt form and have the completed form available when we receive your donation. The form will be signed by a BBGS representative and returned to you.
How are my donations valued?
When setting the value on the Donation Receipt form, consider its fair-market value. You may wish to consult your tax advisor for specific item valuation questions. Unfortunately, the BBGS cannot provide an appraisal value.
How will the items be priced for the sale?
The BBGS reserves the right to set the sale price for all items. Prices will be determined with the goal of making sales. Based on this, you should expect a “sticker” price somewhat lower than market value.
What happens to unsold items?
All remaining items from the sale will be sold on the secondary market for the benefit of the Society or donated to a local charity. The unsold items become the property of the BBGS and cannot be returned.
When and where will the Vintage Sale be held?
The Sale will be held at the Bellevue Botanical Garden on June 27, 28 & 29, 2019.
Please remember: This is a quality Vintage Sale, not a garage sale. For questions or information about an item’s qualifications, or to find out how to volunteer to help with this event, email us.
